Day 1

Belgrade

Arrive to Belgrade and start off with an introduction to the largest city in the Balkans. Enjoy in a panoramic and walking tour through Belgrade as we discover thousands of year of the unprecedent history layer by layer. Visit some of the most memorable sites on our tour.

Day 2

Zlakusa

Head towards West Serbia and discover magnificent beauty of the meandric Ovčar-Kablar gorge on a panoramic ride. Enjoy in countryside tranqulity of Zlakusa village as you learn about traditional pottery. Explore magnificent Potpec Cave before we settle on Mt Zlatibor for rest.

Day 3

MT Tara

Explore Mt Zlatibor’s beauties as we visit Sirogojno open-air musem and surreal Stopica Cave. Visit magnificent Mt Tara and discover a unique train ride on alpine slopes. Explore the largest Ethno complex in Southeast Europe, Mecavnik, and learn about the highlanders’ life in West Serbia.

Day 4

MT. Durmitor

Take a boat ride through the fantastic Uvac Canyon and discover the largest birds of prey in Southeast Europe – Griffon vultures. Learn about Serbian Medieval times with a visit to the enchanting Mileševa monastery. Pass over the deepest European canyon of Tara river and climb up the Mt Durmitor for a touch of true alpine Balkans.

Day 5

Biogradska Gora, MT. Lovcen, Budva

Visit the largest virgin forest in Southeast Europe with a chance to discover nature’s wildlife in person. Visit one of the oldest monasteries in the Balkans, which inspired the Renaissance movement. Enjoy in magnificent scenery of Skadar Lake before we climb up to the very top of Montenegro and royal capital of Cetinje. Final check-in at the desired hotel.

Day 01: Arrival to Belgrade

Welcome to Serbian capital! After we meet at the „Nikola Tesla“ Airport Arrivals terminal, we shall proceed to check-in at the hotel for a short break and refreshment. Afterwards, it is time to introduce you to the largest city in the region, and its fantastic history and culture. We will make a panoramic sightseeing to introduce you to city's extraordinary history as we pass St. Sava Temple, National Parliament, Old Royal Court, Republic Square with National Theater and National Museum. Here we will be welcomed by Knez Mihailova pedestrian street, one of Belgrade's hallmarks. See the oldest tavern in Belgrade, the famous „?“ tavern; Residence of princess Ljubica; Patriarch's Court and beautiful Assembly Church. Knez Mihailova street will take us among the most beautiful residences of 19th and early 20th century directly to the craddle of the city – magnificent Belgrade fortress and Kalemegdan park. Prepare to be awed by myths and legends hidden within the walls of 2 millenia old fortress, and enjoy fantastic scenery which spreads over the walls to the confluence and Pannonian plain. Transfer back to the hotel for a short break, and then we will enjoy in dinner in Serbian manner, as we stroll down the famous Skadarska bohemian street to one of the most renowned restaurants. Transfer back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 02: Go West

After the breakfast we will leave the hotel and head towards the beautiful mountains nested in the southwest of Serbia. We will pass between the central Serbian region of Šumadija and west Serbia as we approach the valley of West Morava river. Nested on the slopes of the beautiful meandric gorge are Serbian Orthodox monasteries. Known as the “Serbian Mt. Athos”, Ovčar-Kablar gorge hides dozens of Christian temples dating back to the medieval times. We will pay the visit to one of them, and will hear amazing stories about our tradition and legacy.

Our next stop is a true gem of arts and crafts, Terzica Avlija ethno complex. Set in the village of Zlakusa, villagers are recognized in the world for their traditionally made pottery. Get to know the exquisite lifestyle of West Serbia as we enjoy this one of a kind museum.

Not far from the village lies Potpec Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Europe. After we enjoy local specialties in a restaurant set between the river and the cave, we will explore the secrets hidden in the Potpec Cave. Finally, we are arriving on Mt. Zlatibor, one of the most famous resorts in the region. Check-in at the hotel and rest a bit, or enjoy riding horses, driving quads…? After the free time we will depart for the dinner where we will enjoy outstanding national specialties. Return back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 03: The Mountain Queen

Finish the breakfast and head out to a unique adventure on discovering the raw beauty of Serbia! Our first stop for the day will be village of Sirogojno, a one of a kind open-air museum. Get to know the traditional highland lifestyle of Serbia, and get familiar to centuries old tradition of wool weaving. Continue to neighbouring Stopića cave, a true gem on Mt. Zlatibor. Its natural pools and cascades are amongst the most beautiful ones in the world.

Continue our journey to Mt. Tara, one of the most beautiful mountains in Balkan peninsula. National park Tara is home of many endemic species, and a great part of it is still untouched by human. On the slopes of Mt. Tara lies a fantastic complex of Drvengrad, alpine museum-resort concepted by our famous film director Mr. Emir Kusturica. Visit Drvengrad and, if weather permits, continue to Šargan for one-of-a-kind ride on “Šargan Eight” train. Pass the fantastic scenery and panoramas as we climb and descend on the steep slopes of beautiful Tara! Return to hotel for a break and rest.

Day 04: Entering Montenegro

We leave hotel after the breakfast, and we will be heading south, towards the Mt. Zlatar. The exquisite alpine scenery is complemented by the eco-system of Uvac river, famous for fantastic meandric gorge and two lakes. It is the home of the biggest bird in Balkan, the Gryfon Vulture.

Our ride will take us to Mileševa Monastery, built in XIII century. It is here where the world famous fresco of White Angel is. Visit the monastery, and then continue to Montenegrin border. As we enter Montenegro, we will be surrounded by glorious mountains untouched by human influence. Our break will take place at the top of the deepest canyon in Europe, and second in the world – Tara river canyon. Admire the scenery from Đurđevića Tara bridge, and then continue to Mt. Durmitor National Park, home of the glacier lakes known as “the eyes of the mountain”. Continue towards town of Kolašin for check-in, rest and dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05: Montenegrin Beauty

Today we are closing to the end of our tour. Check-out from the hotel after breakfast and transfer to Biogradska Gora national park, one of the most beautiful natural scenes in Southeast Europe. Settled at beautiful mountain of Bjelasica, Biogradska Gora keeps an untouched nature crowned by the largest wildwoods in Balkan. However, the most beautiful gems are glacier lakes which give the illusion of touching the sky.

Continue to Morača monastery, a XIII century gem of Serbian architecture. Built by prince Stefan Nemanjić, this is one of the first examples of Serbian Medieval monumental architecture. The craftsmanship of the Medieval monks is still astounding, which especially shown on the central church of Ascension of the Holy Virgin.

We will have a lunch break on a very special place – where glorious mountains reach the lowest point, at the beautiful Skadar lake. Enjoy the incredible scenery and local specialties as we approach the finals of our tour.

Last, but not the least, we are awaited by the crown jewel of Montenegro: glorious Mt. Lovćen, home of Petrović Njegoš dynasty. Admire the spectacular view from the top of Montenegro before we pay the visit to the Royal Mausoleum and Cetinje monastery – one of the most respected Serbian monasteries. Its treasury keeps the relics which cannot be found together anywhere in the world: a piece of the Holy Cross, St. John’s Baptist’s arm, as well as the holy crown of Serbian king Stefan Dečanski, St. Sava’s robe and many other relics. Our road to Montenegrin coast is coming to an end. We will part from you at your destination and wish you have a great vacation. Hope you will bring the best memories back!
