DAY 01: Arrival to Montenegro - Skadar Lake & Budva Riviera
Arrival at Podgorica International Airport. Meet your guide and set out to Skadar Lake National Park. Welcome lunch by the lake and introduction to the tour. After the lunch we will set out to a boat ride on the magnificent Skadar Lake. Enjoy beautiful environment of the largest European cryptodepression. Continue to Montenegrin coastline and enjoy the panoramic ride as we approach Budva, followed by a walking tour through the Old Town of Budva before we settle for the check-in. Arrive to hotel, check-in and rest.
DAY 02: Bride of Adria - Boka Bay
Embark on our boat for an exquisite ride through magnificent Boka Bay! You will meet the „Bride of Adriatic“, one of the most beautiful bays of the world and its fantastic legacy. Embark at Porto Montenegro, a posh resort and marine. Visit Kotor Old Town for a splash of an architectural prodigy as we stroll along the cobbled streets. Visit St. Tryphon’s Cathedral and Porta di Mare, fabulous Square of the Arms and the Old Kotor ramparts. Enjoy spectacular view from Campana. Continue our cruise by the most beautiful spots of Southern Adriatic. Visit the magnificent Our Lady of the Rocks island with a fabulous monastery, just across the bay from the beautiful coastal town of Perast. Hear about fantastic Illyric nation as we visit ancient Illyric capital Risan, pass through the Verige strait to Herceg Novi and Prevlaka penninsula. Return to Porto Montenegro in the afternoon and enjoy some free time.
DAY 03: Southern Croatia - Cavtat & Dubrovnik
We are leaving Montenegro and will take the road around Boka Bay towards Croatia. Visit the southernmost resort of Croatia, fabulous Cavtat. Enjoy the beautiful promenade as we walk you through the stories of Cavtat. Visit the 15th century monastery of Our Lady of Snow along with the church decorated by the most renowned Dubrovnik artists – among them Vlado Buhovac, founder of Croatian Modern art. See the Rector’s Palace and visit beautiful mausoleum of Racic family before we continue along the coastline to our next destination. Magnificent Dubrovnik is waiting for us!
Reveal fabulous history and legends of one of the most prominent cities in Medieval times. Walk along impressive ramparts, pass through the Pile Gate and take a stroll along Stradun, the beating heart of the city, to feel the lavish spirit of Dubrovnik. We will see fantastic 15th century Onofrio Fountain and the Franciscan monastery holding one of the oldest working pharmacies in Europe; gather up at the favorite meeting point of the locals – the Orlando Column, just steps away from fabulous Sponza Palace and church of St Blaise. Stroll along the narrow cobbled streets to the Market Square and beautiful Jesuite Monastery.
Check-in at the hotel for some rest.
DAY 04: Dubrovnik & Mljet
Set sail for the archipelago of South Dalmatia. Sail along the Elafiti islands to the magnificent Mljet island and enjoy deep blue color of the Adriatic sea. Visit one of the most beautiful islands of the Adriatic sea, covered with lush forests. There is a reason why Mljet is called „the most seductive island in the Adriatic“, and we will show you why. Visit magnificent lakes of Mljet National Park and explore beautiful sites of Sobra and Pomena. Take a lunch break in a restaurant set in beautiful Benedictine monastery. Immerse into fabulous atmosphere of this Adriatic gem before we return back to Dubrovnik.
DAY 05: Peljesac & Korcula
Today we will depart toward Central Dalmatia. On our way we will visit Peljesac peninsula with the town of Ston, home of the second largest wall structure – just after the Great Wall of China. Enjoy fantastic wines on our Peljesac wine tour, as we introduce you to centuries old tradition of wine making. Visit Korcula island, birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo and taste the old spirit of Venetian Republic. Stroll along the medieval streets of Korcula and visit beautiful St Mark’s Cathedral. Embark the ferry for a magnificent ride from Korcula to Split. Marvel at the fantastic islands of Vis, Hvar and Brac on route and disembark in beautiful Split. Check-in at the hotel for some rest.
DAY 06: Split & Trogir
Take a tour of Split, one of the most beautiful cities in Dalmatia, with thousands of years old history. Visit Marjan Forest Park for a magnificent view over the city. As we decend we will see the monument to Gregory of Nin, one of the most influential Dalmatians from XI century. Visit fabulous St. Domnius Cathedral with a fantastic bell tower before we set our path to the era of Ancient Rome. Visit magnificent palace of Roman emperor Diocletianus and dive into the ancient times as we pass the main gates of the complex. Visit Jupiter’s Temple through the narrow street called „let me through“ and enjoy the atmosphere of fabulous Riva promenade.
We will continue towards neighbouring town of Trogir to immerse in the fantastic atmosphere of Croatian Adriatic. Designated as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Trogir is home to numerous fascinating historic sights. Take a tour of Trogir to dive into Dalmatian romantic atmoshpere as we see magnificent Cipiko Palaces and Kamerlengo Fortress. Pass through the City Gate to St. Lawrence Cathedral and magnificent City Loggia. Return to Split for overnight.
DAY 07: Sibenik & Zadar
Travel north towards North Dalmatia and visit the oldest Slavic city on the Adriatic, beautiful Sibenik, nestled in the breathtaking bay and delta of Krka river into the Adriatic. Visit St. James’ Cathedral and its Loggia and explore the magnificent promenade before we set out to the the peculiar Fortress of St Nicolas, located on an islet just outside the Sibenik Bay. Explore this extraordinary Venetian defensive structure and its surreal surroundings.
Then we take a detour inland to Krka National Park for a glimpse of breathtaking nature and visit the famous Krka waterfall complex before we continue our journey north up the Adriatic coast. Arrive in Zadar in late afternoon and check-in for some rest.
DAY 08: Zadar & Kornati
Visit fabulous Kornati archipelago, a fabulous formation of 140 islands that bare a status of a National Park. Immerse into pristine nature and sheer beauty of numerous coves and crystal blue water, home of some of indigenous animal species. Enjoy in fabulous untouched nature of the densest archipelago of the Adriatic.
Return to Zadar for an intense story of the pirates of Adriatic, and dive into fantastic history as we pass the Mainland Gate to enter the Old Town. Climb up the Captain’s Tower for a magnificent view over the city and freshen up at the Square of Five Wells. Take a stroll on Kalelarga street, the beating heart of Zadar Old Town, to St. Donatus Cathedral. Enjoy the beautiful sunset over the archipelago and visit fantastic art installations – Greetings to the Sun and Sea Organ.
DAY 09: Kvarneri & Rijeka
We are setting out to the very north of Adriatic coast and fabulous Istria peninsula. Enjoy the catamaran cruise through the Kvarner islands and see the largest of them: Krk, Rab, Cres and Pag islands. Disembark at Rijeka and stroll along Korzo, the main pedestrian zone of the city. See the beautiful City Tower with its four clocks, pass through the Roman Arch and visit the peculiar church of St Vitus. Transfer to neighboring town of Opatija for check-in and rest.
DAY 10: Opatija & Pula
One of the most posh sea destinations of Croatia awaits you. Opatija riviera was one of the most favorite getaways of European royalty, and some of the biggest celebrities of their time such as singer Gigli and the dancer Isadora Duncan. Composers Mahler, Puccini and Lehar were some of the regular guests in Opatija. See the St James’ church, built on a site of the abbey from which Opatija grew; magnificent Villa Angiolina surrounded with an outstanding nature park and stroll along the Lungomare promenade to the symbol of Opatija, sculpture of Maiden with the Seagull.
Continue to Pula, one of the best preserved Ancient Roman cities in the world. Dive into a genuine time-travel experience as we walk along the paths of ancient Romans. Pass through the Triumphal Arch of the Sergii, Roman noble family, and stroll along the Forum to visit the Temple of Augustus, built at the very beginning of the 1st century AD. Pass through the Hercules Gate and visit the hallmark of Pula – magnificent Roman Arena, the sixth-largest in the world! Finally, take a boat ride to Brijuni islands, the most favorite getaway of late Ex-Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito. After the day at this marvelous place we head to the hotel at Brijuni, for some well deserved rest.
DAY 11: Brijuni
A full day tour of Brijuni islands and National Park will take you back to a surreal world of Ex-Yugoslav president Tito, one of the most colorful figures of modern history. His favorite residence hosted the most powerful people of the 20th century, and there is so much to see and experience from this era! Visit Safari park, comprising of the most exotic animals and plants which were given to Tito. See one of the oldest olive trees in the Mediterranean, over 1600 years old! Visit fantastic remnants of the ancient Roman and Byzantine era and take a peak into the dinosaur traces. Take the path of Yugoslav lifetime president Tito and visit to his residence and today’s museum dedicated to his intriguing life.
At the end of the day, return to the Brijuni hotel for overnight.
DAY 12: Rovinj & Umag
Depart from Brijuni and head towards Rovinj, a beautiful picturesque city which used to be an island. Enjoy the stroll through the narrow cobbled streets as we visit magnificent church of St. Euphemia, the largest baroque building in Istria. Pass through the Balbi Arch, former entrance to the city, which testifies of the power of Rovinj during the Venetian Republic. Follow Grisia street, the main artery of Rovinj, to the City Palace.
Continue to Umag, one of the most beautiful coastal towns of the Adriatic. Stroll through the compact Old Town to the church of St Rocco. Visit the Bishop’s Tower and fantastic museum dedicated to the history of Istria; visit Savudrija lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in Croatia, which operates even nowadays. Follow the road to the magnificent Wine Residence for a taste of fabulous Istria wines with dinner. Check-in and rest.
DAY 13: PORTOROZ, IZOLA & KOPER
On this day we will reach the very north of Yugoslav Adriatic coast. Enter Slovenia and visit the gems of Slovenian coast – Portorož, Izola and Kopar. Visit magnificent monastery of St Bernardine in Portoroz, enjoy in spectacular views over Izola, enter the impressive Pretorian Palace in Koper.
Continue towards mainland to Slovenian capital Ljubljana for check-in and rest. In the evening we will enjoy a boat tour, introducing you to Slovenian capital, before we continue to the farewell dinner.
DAY 14: Departure from Ljubljana
Check-out after breakfast. We will take you to Ljubljana International Airport for departure.
